LinkSource Systems, Inc. is searching for a talented, motivated, passionate, hands-on software developer to help us stay at the forefront of electronic health records, e-prescribing, electronic medical documentation and medical billing.

If you answered YES, then we want to speak to you about a Software Developer position. As a member of the LinkSource team, we will depend on your outstanding skills to:

  • Write a set of Windows-based applications that will provide physicians with an easy to use, graphical, pen-based interface for entering their patient documentation on a LinkSource medical tablet PC.

  • Build applications that are capable of sending and receiving images (digital x-rays, PET and CAT scans) and medical documents to and from a centralized database.

  • Build automated client server synchronization mechanisms so  data can be transmitted and retrieved from a centralized database using database replication.

  • Integrate existing back office systems with a central database using web-based enterprise portal.

  • Direct and integrate with third party vendors that may provide peripheral development or ancillary services to augment your efforts.

  • Manage a long-term project from concept to execution and meet deadlines.

  • Serve as the tech support help desk for clients who may require assistance over the phone or via e-mail.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of software development experience, which includes experience with the entire software development life cycle. Ability to program the low level details while architecting an enterprise solution.

  • A strong understanding of MS SQL Server, queries, and stored procedures. Understanding of database replication extremely helpful.

  • UI experience with both windows client applications using Visual Basic or .NET Windows Forms and web-based applications using ASP or ASP.NET.

  • At least a one year experience using the .NET Framework including: VB.NET or C#, XML, XSL, and ADO.NET.

  • Experience with integrating Windows and web applications with back-end relational databases using ADO.NET.

  • You need to be comfortable integrating with libraries of existing code (SDKs) to effectively work with your own development effort.

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to healthcare applications and technologies such as practice management, EMR, HL7, and HIPAA.

  • Strong user interface aesthetic design experience coupled with strong technical implementation skills. Some experience with Adobe Photoshop helpful.

  • Ability to design, maintain and tune a relational database (some DBA skills).

  • Windows 2003 Server, XP and Active Directory system administration skills.

  • Good people skills, along with the ability to interact with internal departments and external partners.

  • A computer science or related engineering degree.

You must have more than two years experience calling on the medical profession market and the talent for developing a territory through research, lead generation and cold calling. Other requirements are:

  • Demonstrated ability to meet goals and work independently.

  • Aggressive in closing the sale.

  • Ability to focus on activities that will result in revenue generation.

  • PC literacy, including MS Office, is a must.

  • BS/BA degree.
